10Km on Jan 11

This week had a 10 Km run in plan. The weather has been so cold these days that it really becomes difficult to get up in morning and go out.

After a good day of rest on Saturday, I decided to give it my best for the 10Km run. On Sunday it seemed the coldest day ever. The temperature was around 12. This being my solo run day, it was seeming even more difficult to change from PJ's. At that point of time all i needed was a push and motivation. I remember listening to some uplifting music the other day. I had downloaded that music to my system. I quickly copied that over to my music player, put on my head-phones and went out.

The run started out great! Initially I started to run with the beats of the music. It was definitely a totally different feel when running to uplifting music. Initially it was very cold outside but as I started to run, it started getting warm. The music and the warmth gave me a good kick-start and i  ran my way through my regular running route.  I decided to go at my regular pace and trying to keep with my breathing.

I crossed 5Km and my music list completed. So i switched it all over again and ran the remaining 5Km listening to it all over again :)  Although it was repetitive music, i still loved it and the rest of the run was good. I felt very good despite the weather conditions. Finally i completed my 10Km run in 1hr 12 minutes !!!

  1. Congrats on your run! Way to get it done, in spite of the cold, cold weather you've been having. I think music really helps me out when things are getting tough; sometimes, just the right song can make all the difference. Thank you so much for linking up with the blog today; hope your Monday is off to a great start!
